Where Boys Get To Be Boys

Queen Anne Cub Scouts is a thriving, local Pack, led by volunteer scout parents (See our volunteers here). Currently we have around 80 cub scouts. Our scouts go to the local public and private schools. Most of our scouts live on Queen Anne, others live in Magnolia, Ballard, and Wallingford.

Our den meetings are designed for "fun with a purpose". There is a reason for everything boys do in Cub Scouting. Apart from the fun and excitement, the aim of Cub Scouting is to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character and personally fit. This is why we say that Cub Scouting is "fun with a purpose".

From September through June we meet weekly (Monday evenings) in Den groups and monthly as members of the Pack for an evening of fun and games, skits, ceremonies, and recognition. All of our scouts participate in sports and other after-school activities, sometimes they'll have to miss Den meetings to do so. Holding our meetings weekly allows our Scouts ample opportunities to attend meetings.

Over the summer, scouts attend Camp Edward (cub scout camp), participate in fun and adventurous Pack events such as the Soap Box Derby, Bike Rodeo, and family camping with Pack families.

As Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Boy Scouting, said “A boy is not a sitting-down animal.” Queen Anne Cub Scouts take this to Heart.
