Soap Box Derby August 8, 2015 Boys and Families, Start Your Engines. Bring the whole family to Pack 7072's annual Soap Box Derby. This is also a GREAT event to Bring a Friend! Location: Soapbox Derby track at Woodland Park What: Downhill side by side racing in cars that our own Cub Scouts and Pack parents built! The cars are awesome!! We have FAST cas for Webelos, and slower cars for Tigers.Where: Derby track near Woodland Park picnic area on N. 50th St. and west of the Lower Woodland baseball field. Webbing and large cones on both sides, and in the middle, of the track keep the racing safe. Who: Bring your parents, siblings and a friends to come cheer you on! What to Bring: Bicycle helmet(!), water bottle & sun screen. Wear your Pack t-shirt and closed toe shoes. IF you are new and don't have a pack tshirt yet, we'll have one there for you.
QA Cub Scouts has a Pack racing event annually at the Soapbox Derby track in Woodland Park. The Pack has a set of six Soap Box derby cars, including two newly-built models with car-like steering and brakes that several of our Webelos scout families constructed. Bring your own bike helmet. 10:00 Practice 11:00 Racing Heats Begin 12:00 Lunch served (while heats continue) 1:00/1:30 Wrap up. Once everyone has raced to their hearts content.
